PROGRAMME SUMMARY

6pm, 16th November - Launch 6pm, 24th January 2007 – Entrepreneurs Club ‘Business Planning Workshop’

Through this interactive session, discover why you need a business plan and what a business plan might entail. This session will take the pain out of business planning by putting the whole process into context.

6pm, 28th February 2007 – Entrepreneurs Club ‘Marketing Planning Workshop’

This session looks at marketing – the how, why and who of marketing and how your marketing plan can and should form an integral part of your strategic business plan.

6pm, 28th March 2007 – Entrepreneurs Club ‘Finance Planning Workshop’

Understanding how much money will be coming into your company (as well as going out) and more importantly when this will happen is a fundamental process that needs to thought about. This session will provide you with some tools to help you do this.

All-day, 28th February 2007– National Council of Graduate Entrepreneurs Rally

The National Council of Graduate Entrepreneurs is the national focal point for graduate entrepreneurship and their goal is to influence, and inspire, an increase in the number of students and graduates who give serious thought to self-employment or business start-up.

6pm, 15th March 2007 – Entrepreneurs Club ‘Legal Planning Workshop’

You’re almost there, now you just need some insight into the legalities of setting up you own business – what contracts might you need to issue, what are your terms and conditions, etc. This workshop will help prepare you for these questions and might provide you with some of the answers too.

Stage One

Hand in Deadline: 28th February 2007

Requirements: Idea summarised in 2 pages. The Entry Form available on this website as is the Stage One Entry Form and it offers some level of guidance as to what you need to be telling the judges.

Stage Two

Hand in Deadline: 31st May 2007Attention all of you budding Entrepreneurs!!!

Due to a successive number of requests for more time (in order to produce the best quality plans you all possibly can), the deadline for Stage Two entries has been extended until Thursday 31st May.

If you have any further questions (i.e. what do we hope to see; how long should it be; can you get any help with it; what is a business plan, etc?), please don’t hesitate to drop us a line on ep-reception@aib.ac.uk. GOOD LUCK

Requirements: Idea detailed in a business plan By this time you should have all the information you need. All that is required is for you to submit this information to the judges in a well-presented, concise and succinct manner.
